History

The home is shown as present on the 1908 map of Haverford. In 1912, the home, already built, was sold by agent Thomas A. Sheridan to the Young family. It was listed as "174 Davis Road".

1920 census: Realtor Thomas is living with his wife, children, and maid.

In 1922, it was advertised as the "cheapest property in Llanerch" and being for sale. It was still on sale in 1923, where it was presumably purchased by the Urian family

In September 1930, George died suddenly from a buildup of monoxide in the garage from his car's combustion that poisoned him. The family moved from the home shortly after.

In 1951, William & Vera's son James got married, and the house went on sale later that year for $16,990, although it's unclear at what price it was finally sold for. By 1960, Herbert Hansell lived there and he continued living there through at least 1963. By 1968, Edward J. Ensslen was the primary resident. Thomas and Dolores Gillen purchased the house in 1978 for $51,000, and sold the house to William & Maryann White for $233,000.
